I know it's not real without pics, so here she is. Titled, insured, paid for........she's mine! Came with V-Strom hanguards, Garauld rack, Cee Bailey windscreen, and Hyper-lights. Had to put the cover on my beloved 05' so she couldn't see me fondling the new one! :wub:

CONGRATS on the new F.J.R. The 05 looks great but the 09 looks much better and WOW what a deal you got on it ENJOY

First of all, congrats on the new scoot :clapping: . The 05 looks good too, but I like the black FJR (I've got an 08 meself). I know it is just one person's opinion, but I like the silver wheels better than the black ones. I'd switch em or do silver on the 09, but many others may prefer the black wheels (had em on 3 different V-stroms in past). Do you prefer black or silver wheels

I guess I'm one of those who like the black wheels better. Maybe because I bought the first FJR (July 2002 delivery)here in Albuquerque and it had the black wheels. Loved that bike. Definately the fastest of the bunch! Friend of mine said I should swap the wheels out with my 05', but I don't think that's going to happen. Just tryin' to get used to the new one. I ride an '09 as well, which I bought new a few months ago. IMO it's the best looking FJR yet. I much prefer the black wheels, and I've continued the theme with black HoleShot cans, dark tinted OEM sized screen, and black ASV levers. I also stripped the chrome logos off the fairing and the reflectors off the bags for a cleaner look (and bought the fender eliminator from Belgium)
10 grand... wow, great deal. We have the same bike, and at this point the mileage is pretty much the same, but I paid 4 grand more than you did! I wish I had that extra 4 grand in my pocket, I'd be 2/3rds of the way to paying cash for that new Ducati Monster 1100S I've been lusting after!

Congratulations, I have an '09 also, bought in mid-August, you stole yours. Mine was $13500 out the door, I felt I did well, you just did much better, plus the farkles already done. I personally like the black wheels. Good luck and lots of happy riding!!!
