Thats how it was when I picked up #211 yesterday. I waited all morning for the weather to break, but it never did. So we headed to the dealership at about 12:30. After an orientation and preflight, I was off, under clearing skies. Within a mile I was back under heavy showers. Between the rain, the greasey new tires, and about 3 miles of spilled diesel fuel, my first few miles were devoted to practicing smooth control inputs. Even in these conditions, the bike felt stable and planted.
I managed to find a few dry roads on my way home and was pleasantly suprised by its handling. A real joy at speed, with excellent cornering manners.
An other hundred miles on dry roads today! I LOVE THIS BIKE!!
Downsides: Slow speed handling, just not used to its size yet.
The EFI seems a little fluffy off idle.
I am not in love with the seat so far.
All in all, the wait has been worth it!!
