Ive ordered a pair of those myself but Im planning on making a simple bracket to hang off the mirror..... whether it works or not, time will tell

I've ordered a pair as well. The current draw from these lights is so light (around 850 mA per light), I will plan to positap these directly to the low beam voltage feed. Also plan to use the supplied brackets...I will paint them black...and a spacer...also painted black...with a new longer bolt and attach to the same place as the OP. Easy Peasy. I'll post some pics of the install.

My advice would be to not do this.

It is likely that your low-beam circuit could stand another 2 (ish) amp draw, but you could be stacking up trouble. Normally manufacturers spec wiring circuits at the minimum that will get the job done. All well and good when the bike is new, but a few years down the line, when wiring and connectors have begun their inevitable deterioration, the current-carrying capacity is reduced. It's quite possible this will not matter, but why risk it when a new run of wire and a relay is so cheap?

fwiw.

Finally got my lights wired up and blown away at how much light they put out for $30. They're better than the stock headlights.

Everything off

just the Cree's

just the Cree's

off

Stock headlight on low beam

stock headlight, low beam

oh and a big thanks out to Silverhound for posting this up. Ive been wanting lights on this bike since I got it but just couldn't bring myself to pay $200+ for lights.

I think when this was all said and done I spent $35.

....not including the lunch I'm buying for my installation team but that doesn't count because I was going to do that anyways
