What is throttle control?

Obviously it is something we FJR pilots lack.

My 05 would get mid 30's going to and from work, 60 mile round trip. On the highway and some secondary roads I'd get 50 -51 mpg.

With the 16 I get high 30's going to & from work, same 60 mile commute. As for the highway I have not had a chance to see what it is getting.

With the 16 I do notice I am in 4th gear where with the 05 I would be in 5th on the same stretch of road.

I only have 1450 miles on it and I'll see what t does in the spring, if it ever gets here.

Can't wait till they come out with the 7 speed.

Because, if a little is good, a lot is better, and too much is not enough.

I rode with a guy who had a 16 this fall on a trip down in Texas and he told me he had to downshift to keep up while passing on the interstate. I told him so do the "Harley's"! I seemed to get better gas mileage too. I was averaging about 48MPG and he was around 39MPG, but he had a rear trunk mounted on it. We had some side wind and he was hating that trunk. That's the only time I've been around a 16, but it's a good looking motorcycle.

On my 14ES I have a historical average of 47.4mpg. I run a 190/55 rear tire and the final drive has been up dated to a RS final drive.
