80 MPH Speed Limits Coming to Idaho

The Interstate 15 autobahn experience continues to grow. UT is almost all 80 now (on I-15), and Montana's never been too concerned.

I was on 15 last fall when they had just bumped it up to 80 below Spanish Springs.The big 18 wheelers at 80 + too.

UPDATE: The nannies that be have finally been beaten back. We are now at 80 MPH on our interstates (the new signs look fantastic!). You can now go from Southern UT to the Idaho/MT border 80 the whole way except through the larger cities.

Montana? Are you listening? They should be next in line.

$150.00 citation and a comment advising that my speed would have been legal three miles up the road in MT.

WTF, I go as fast as I think I can get away with. Sometimes that is 85 & then slow to speed limit around suspected hemorrhoid sites, up to 125 or

more depending on the rabbit I am following or how lucky I feel. One look at me and the cops KNOW I am not smart enough to read the speed

limit signs.

Recently was able to experience the western limits, all were fantastic changes of pace compares to illinois. Except Oregon. Seriously????? Goose Lake to Ontario Idaho was almost ruined by the 55 zone. Almost because I rarely observed it. Did not see a cop the entire way through Oregon. 55mph out there is just revenue generators.
