Just thought I'd share my experience with a relatively rare bike you don't hear that much about.
Before the "SV" series bikes Suzuki had the TL1000S (1997) and in 1998 followed with the TL1000R.
both were 1000cc V-twins, the "R" was the much sportier version with more hp and a lot of trick features. The "R" was to be the base for a V-twin superbike racing effort by Suzuki but the vtwin effort was cancelled when someone at suzuki decided only one effort was allowed. GSXR won.
I've had a "R" for two years now and it's a hoot to ride and the large V-twin bark gets a lot of notice. Most people are surprised to hear that sound from something that doesn't look like a harley.
about 120 rear wheel hp with cans and a power commander.
If you are considering a used sportbike and don't want an in-line 4 its worth a look.
oh yea, and you can hide a nitrous bottle under the seat ....
