I have met Jim several time. When he would come to Missouri he would stay with a good friend of mine Tim. Thats how I really came to know him. He just came to St. Louis and rode to Mid-Ohio a week or two ago. He was a great guy to know... I spoke to him while he and my buddy Tim was driving from St. Louis to Ohio... He left a wife and daughter behind.. He was in a car crash.. For you youngsters, he was the first American to win a mx gp oversea's.. He past away on Sunday. I have a poster here in my office that says...

Bronce, get sideway, Jim "the first" Pomeroy

Thanks Jim for the memorys...

Godspeed Jimbo....... Your smile and wit will me missed.......

:( Hate to hear this what a tragedy. He was still fast on a MX track I would go to the vintage MX Nationals and loved seeing him and Brad Lackey cutting the track up. He was one of the nicest guys you would want to meet. I will pray for his family. Very sad.
