Very nicely done! Pretty scenery too. I keep going back and forth about whether to put on my Christmas wish list a new Schuberth C4 helmet or a Mavic Pro. I'm leaning towards the Mavic :)

I wish I had the Mavic. The portability is impossible to ignore. The Phantom has a slightly better camera, but you can only tell if they are side-by-side. I made a foam insert for my Phantom 3 so I can carry it in the top box. But the Mavic would be so much easier.

Do you shoot a lot of drone video/photo when you're out on rides, capturing the scenery? That's what I'd like to do but with the size of the Phantoms I just knew that after two or three trips with it, I'd get tired of dealing with the size. It didn't occur to me to actually turn the top box into a case for it. Good thinking. But I agree 100% with your comment on the size advantage of the Mavic. It would fit in my tank bag!

I have the OEM top box, so it is one of the smaller ones out there. But I bought the inner bag for it, then bought some foam. It isn't pretty, but it gets the job done and I'm able to carry it with me. I have the backpack for it also, but that won't fit in the top box.

As you can see, there's not a lot of room. I can't have anything else in the top box and I have to be careful closing it. Once it is in, it's good to go.

This is my first year with the Phantom. I've taken it with me on one long trip because that's about all I get these days. My limitations are a 3 year old and a wife that works 3rd shift. Here's the video I put together from Searles Castle in New Hampshire.

With the Mavic, I know I'd fly more. The Phantom flies great, but it is an awkward thing to transport. But my wife hated the idea of me getting the Phantom so I doubt a Mavic is in my future for now.
