Those of you lucky enough to have an AE in your possession already, I would greatly apprenciate a picture of the BACK of the right hand throttle grip and switch harness showing the screw pattern. I want to attach my Audiovox control module to the right hand brake bracket, and I need to look at the configuration of all of the attach srews and assy's.

My bike isn't going to come in early enough to have a lot of spare time for me to farkle the bike for WFO, so I'm trying to work ahead a little bit.

Don't know if the factory heated grips changed anything over there, but hoping the screw pattern is the same as on the earlier models, so I can make a pad mount similar to this:

Thanks!

Ok, how about this.... What I want to do is hook a bracket onto the back of the brake lever bracket. I need to know if the kill/start switch and brake bracket assembly are the same on the AE (or the A for that matter) as previous years, since it has heated grips.

Regrettably, the Yamaha parts page doesn't show the right hand brake assy.

Thanks!

Hope these copy and are helpful. I also have an 05. Looks to me that mounting to the throttle cover on the 06 would be very difficult due to its shape

Thanks TD! That's just what I was needing... and not wanting to see. Drat. I'll have to wait for the bike to fab a bracket for the control Pad. Bummer.

Rocket, you are welcome, always glad to helpout.
Dave,

What is your ratrionale for keeping both an '05 and '06 AE? I'm looking for excuses to keep my '05 after my AE arrives as well!!!

Yes, Skyway has a nice unit, but I don't care for the positioning. Plus, I have scads of aluminum sheet here for building my airplane. Not that big a deal to cut and bend a simple bracket. Not as deluxe as the Skyway model, but my other bent sheet bracket on my '04 has served me well, and it was also made with scrap sheet.

I am retired and am fortunate to have 7 bikes total. I have the 05 setup for LDRs as it has a fuel cell. If I can adapt the fuel cell to the 05 I will probably sell it. Know anyone that want a well maintained and highly farkled 05 with only 40K miles??
