A little ride inland

It's always fun to drop the bags off after running 2up!

So I took a little run up to Mount Wilson. I've been riding Angeles Crest for years and never took the time to go up to the top of the mountain. Didn't realize how close I had been!

We had weather coming in that hazed out the view, but here's looking towards Los Angeles.

The buildings in the center of the shot are downtown L.A.

And here's looking off the other side!

Then I dropped over to the high desert side. I believe this building is the city of Llana, Ca. (the only building there!)

Had a great ride, with next to no traffic! The Crest had some debris on it, but not too bad. No mud or sand anyway. Just chunks, from marble to golf ball size. I practiced my target fixation! Fixating on the space in between, of course!

Thanks for this. Always interesting to see pictures of places you've heard of, but never been to.

Had a great ride with four friends last Sunday. We stopped to look at a bear sow with two cubs, the conversation went roughly:

"Al get a quick picture, then we'd better get out of here."

"I put my camera and phone in my tank-bag, so I wouldn't forget them"

"Al, where's your tank-bag?"

"Yeah, right."

That won't happen this weekend!
