A man was saying his prayers one night and began contemplating the vast gulf between God and man. And as he thought, he pondered that even time must pass quite differently for God. So he asked, "God, what does the passage of a million years seem like to you?"
And God answered, "Oh, about a minute."
And then the man thought further - even great wealth must seem quite different in God's eyes. So he asked, "And God, what about a million dollars? What does that seem like to you?"
God again answered him, saying, "Oh, about a penny."
With this, the man had a sudden inspiration and so he asked, "God, can I have a million dollars?"
And God answered, "Sure... in a minute."
