Careful Rad, you might strike a nerve with Thug over that pic! ;)

Since joining this board 16 months ago, there are a handful of people whose posts, opinions and work that I take great interest in. Skyway is at the top of that list. In Reno at WFO, my impression of the guy was confirmed when, while FJR&R and I sat in the coffee joint near the hotel lobby, Skyway and his wife pulled up a chair and struck up a conversation. We didn't know each other and he was just interested in meeting us and to say hello. We talked for nearly 30 minutes and I left that conversation with an appreciation for the comraderie and mutual respect that a good portion of us on this forum have come to have for one another. Skyway is a 15 on the 1-10 scale. :clapping:

Thanks for all your work, Ian.

Yeah....sky's a good guy.....just don't cross him, if you know what's good fer ya....

ODOT! , How you doin man. Long time. You healin up? O and yes Skyway ,I think of you every time my ESCORT goes off. Thanks.

hey, flow....I'm healed up and just out of physical therapy....them dang run-ins with skyway can really put the hurt on ya...

Skyway is a first class individual. When I order from him, I just send the money and wait because I know he is working long hours to provide quality farkles for our FJR's. When I bought the sliders and offered to ride down to Sonora to pick them up, he met me for breakfast, brought his tools and installed them on my bike before we ate breakfast. I have since purchased and received the cruise control mount, Littlelite mount, and the hydration kit. I have not installed my cruise control yet, however Ian offered, unsolicited, to help me with the install. His work is first class, he is a great individual. I have chatted on the phone with him several times and he has given me great advice on many mods I have done to my '06. We are lucky to have him and his talents in our community. I can hardly wait for him to finish his latest R&D work on the kickstand mod and brackets for the amazing Soltek HID lights. Whatever he makes, I will purchase. I almost bought a BMW 1200GT, however I am glad I opted for the FJR instead. With all the farkeling I have done, Skyway's parts are functional and have allowed me to personalize the bike and make it my own. I would also say thanks to all the other contributors/vendors/fabricators/group buy organizers who have made owning an FJR so great! This forum and folks like Skyway are........priceless.

Hey Odot, it's ok, I'm calmed down now. :D I'm fast approaching a thousand orders from forum members, so it's only a very very small fraction that got my attention. I don't think you've ever bought anything from me, but I'll do my best to be really nice to you, just don't make me go skyway on your ass.

All I can say is that you people over there in the USA should appreciate guys like Skyway and the others that make gear for the FJR.

At least you can get good FJR extras at a reasonable price, no guys like this is Aust.

Skyway does send his products to Australia,I have just ordered my second set of sliders off him, about 5 days delivery and a good price on postage, pay by PayPal.

The product is real quality.

If he used Visa or Direct Debit, I would consider ordering gear, but I have never used PayPal and I won't start using it now.
Maybe you could mail a check to kango and let him handle the paypal?

You could also mail a check directly to me?

Skyway thank you for your ability to fuel our desires of farkledum...I cannot believe some here could be so fucking rude!

Rad didn't see the pic? Please place again? Pissing and Beer? sounds good!

Um, shouldn't you be working on my part instead of yakking on the Forum?! I'm taking my business elsewhere! "Fang, get WalMart on the line!" :angry2:

Yeesh! What's the matter with you anyway?

I should charge royalties for coining this phrase..... ;)

Although I'll like Ian use it for free.... so he won't go Skyway on my ass!

Thanks Skyway for my sliders. Just came in the mail today.

I have a mechanical engineering degree and have fabricated parts myself, so I know just how much R&D time can go into aftermarket parts.

When I finish a project, I realize that after all is said and done I probably made about 50 cents an hour. Projects like these are barely even profitable, usually then just cover the costs.

I know that you are doing this more for the love of the sport and the bike and a true desire just to help out lazy bastards like myself that don't have the time, ability or inclination to come up with great products ourselves.

If prospective customers understood that these are not really money making ventures, just great guys trying to help us out, that would be a step in the right direction.
