How was Mountain View Road? Has it, in fact, been repaved? And why no pictures while on the straights?

heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh..... :)

Thank you for all the kind compliments guys and gals! I am very flattered to say the least!

Looks like we've both been busy with this photo/ride report stuff, huh Sam??
Yes! It was a good way to spend some free time this week. I got done earlier than I thought I would. :)

I won't be able to get around to a road report for a while yet.
Looking forward to your pictures also Tom! You had the camera out quite a bit throughout the trip, would love to see what you saw!

On other thoughts, judging by the picture of you and MM2 that Fairlaner posted. Please please leave out whatever you were doing when you were sharing a room with MM2 in San Jose!

We still need to make a date to do the City.
What do you mean "do" the city? Let me know how it goes being Jerry's ***** riding ***** with Jerry.

We should meet for lunch when you are picking up your bike and then we can decide when we want to "do" the city!

I'm hoping to check out that scenery some day myself - sooner rather than later.
Sooner MEM, sooner - despite my name, I ain't getting any younger over here!

I needn't post any myself now.
Rog, glad you posted your own photo story. There was no reason not to. We were all having different adventures and seeing different sights - what one person sees is almost never the same as the other.

Mountain View Road was a mixed bag. Good pavement followed by slightly goaty trails, but nothing too bad really - there were some corners with debris on the road, but we riding a cautious pace so all was good.

Brillant images Sam, so clear and crisp. Thank you for all the time you spent to take us along. My ol home town was right near Bodega so those were extra special! Well done...........

Brilliant. I'm not sure whether to post here, or start a new thread to avoid comparison. Sam you have a very artistic eye.

You forgot the food **** from the Bones BBQ in Galala. Best brisket ever. :clapping: (we split a regular order and had plenty to eat. This is a half-serving).

Sam - great RR, topped off with the best ending ever -

Of course somewhere along our trip back home, I took a picture of an old barn, as is the forum tradition, in honor of a wise man that I never had the chance to meet who once said and I quote:
"I love old barns. They always make me think that the owners had great hope and optimism for the future." - OrangevaleFJR.
Thanks for remembering.

Sam,

Wow...great report! :clapping:

I was glad to meet you...thanks for making the effort to ride along with Karl and me...including visiting Nevada City at my birthday dinner.

Your ride reports rock! :clapping:

I will not let the high quality of your photos intimidate me from making my own report. As you say, we all have different journeys...

Sam,

After viewing that, I'll probably just give up shooting and just have you along on our next ride. Between you and my Tail Gunner, my pics don't stand a chance! Nice work!

Truly groovy shots, Sam!
Thanks OM! By your picture taking standards, when you like another's pictures - that is a huge compliment!

Thanks for posting the picture of the food **** Tom. I hadn't taken any pics of that Brisket - it was hella good! I had also forgotten the name of the Roadhouse - so thanks for refreshing my memory on that as well. Bones Roadhouse in Gualala and not Sea Ranch as my RR incorrectly reported.

Sam,

I finally got to enjoy this unbelieveably good RR* This is one of my favorite RRs of all time. It ranks up there with those by Orangevale and Old Michael as ones I have enjoyed the most. :clapping:

Truly spectacular. :yahoo:

I know I will come back to this report many times in the future as I want to reminisce about my time that day out west by the Bay. :)

THANKS.

* (I had to turn away from it earlier while doing my RR as my own photos depressed me after seeing yours...I would have quit if I had really soaked yours in before finishing mine.)

Thank you Mark! I am glad to have met you and rode with you. You guys come back - ya hear? Bring more forum friends with you :)

PS - Sorry I replied so late, I have been checking little else on the forum other than the IBR reports lately.
