I agree with FJRay. The trade-off is worth it. Mine will be mothballed Sunday
What? Like, you mean... this Sunday?

Hell, man, it isn't even Hollow-weener yet.

And that's just when I winterize the boat.

I don't put-up my bikes until the snow completely covers the road.

2 years ago I was riding the New England roads after New Years!!!

Cold?

Bah!! It's all relative.

Just think, when it's 32 deg. F (0 deg. C)...

It's still 273 degrees Kelvin!!

Oh, and for what it's worth, that "babe" in the Caddy commercial is more of a "MILF".

Oh, you California dudes are soooooo funny! <_<
Always the worst part of these discussions -- the California guys gloating. Ever notice riders in New Mexico, Texas and Florida don't gloat as much as the Cali guys? :)
That's cuz eventhough NM has lots of warm days in the winter, we still have plenty of snow and winter days when it's so freaking cold outside riding is out of the question. We are however, not innundated with snow like you poor *******s in Canada and the North U.S., so some of us still get some sweet ride time in and don't "mothball" our bikes.

Don't forget us arrogent Aridzonans!

54/81 today. shorts alllllllllllllllllllllllll winter long!

i feel for the east coasters, today the temp on my readout was 97 degrees.i love my fjr and our weather.but to each their own.

Kalifornia, as in "The land of Fruits and Nuts". Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I may put the bike away in a few weeks, but Ski season starts Thanksgiving, and only 12 miles from my house. Schweeeet.

Hey - what would you expect from us guys out here on the "Left" coast.

It's Our Job !

And we're proud of it.

It kinda goes with the territory.

Uh... "Left" as in the location on a map. I got to keep the management happy around here. :hypocritesmiley:

Sounds like a bunch of panzies to me. As long as there's no ice on the road there's no reason not to ride through the winter here on the East coast. We have X-mas eve riders showing off there lit bikes each year; temps are usually in the teens. Nevertheless, I am surprised by all the Fair Weather Riders out here in the heart of Harley Davidson (York, PA). These guys claim to be tough but store there bikes once temps get below 50F. In the end, I refuse to let cold weather interfere with my love life.

My wife calls it an obsession...so be it!

Enjoy the coming holiday rides

Thats probably because in parts (like where all the good riding is) of Texas and New Mexico it gets cold enought to snow. As for Florida peeps... well, would you brag if all you had were straight roads and blue hairs everywhere?

Three above and snowing this morning. B)
It was like 85 degrees in Albuquerque to day. Tomorrow I'm gonna ride up to Taos and Red River to hang with my brother. The weather is beautiful but will be crappy here real soon....

Disclaimer: The first part of this that looked like gloating wasn't. :)

You are right. It is always flat, straight and boring year round in Florida. :p

I honestly don't know how I could live in a place I couldn't ride virtually every day. The 2-3 days of ice Dallas is likely to get each year are bad enough. I get depressed if work reasons cause me to take the cage even one day a week. You folks up north have my sympathy.
