Yep, crappy weather here in the northeast this week, but we'll be getting that nice warm stuff a few days after you left coasters enjoy it. Just don't use it all up before it gets here.

Holy ****! 102!
I thought Washington was in the North? It's hotter than Florida there!
There's two parts to Washington seperated by a reasonable sized set of mountains. The side he's on gets toasty some times. It's supposed to get up to 85 on the cold side this weekend. :clapping:

We are pretty north, but we are also in the High Desert. Adding to that is the fact the Columbian Basin is... well, a Basin, and it's considerably lower in altitude than the rest of the state. So we *generally* get to enjoy the Good Life here in the steppes of southeastern Washingtion, being in the rain shadow of the Cascades. Except this past winter/spring....

Too, I supposed I am still a little pissed off at my little jaunt to northern California last Thursday evening on the Busa. By the time I was south of Bend, Oregon (1am), the ambient temps were 27 degrees. This provides for a distinct attitude problem when riding a bike that has diddley for rider weather protection.

27 frickin' degrees in mid-May, come on......

You are right about the screwed up weather.

Makes the Global Warming Theory that much harder to believe. (Not that I ever did.)

I'm still burning wood pellets at night!

Supposed to be in the low to mid 70's everyday for the next 10 days here in the Midwest. :hyper: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I rode from Wenatchee to Ellensburg Tues nite (just a little north of WC's location) and at 6 pm it was 40 degrees. By Sat it will be in the high 90"s. A 50 degree shift in 3 to 4 days. So much for a pleasant spring.

Exactly why I welcome global warming :)

JB, you better check your fan fuse. Four bars is running kinda hot. I'd park next to a tree for a bit.

That's Twisted Cricket's '08. I ride an '05. BTW, after doing all the heat insulation gymnastics on the '05, I wasn't bothered by the engine heat. Just the good ol' sun's heat.

But I think when not moving I was showing five bars also. Of more interest (to me) is that for the first time ever the bike was hard-starting: not turning over right away, but sounding sluggish as it cranked. It finally caught every time. Thoughts?

Note to self: Check hot weather gear, start shopping for summer gloves.
Silent just made the trip last weekend to Escondido* and dropped several hundred thousand dollars (I think that's what he said  ) on some CyclePort (a.k.a, MotoSport) kevlar mesh gear. (BTW, I'm glad to hear it, because I don't ever want to get chewed out by him again because he was wearing his 'stitch on a hot day and I didn't pull over soon enough for him to change-- :p ).

Yesterday riding in the 100 degree heat, I realized it's time for non-wet-weather boots. I have some Harley boots that breath nicely, but their waffle sole hangs up on the peg.

*Silent, shall I tell them or will you about how, after never calling ahead  you left at midnight and got there at 8 AM only to discover the address turned out to be a P.O. box....? (Don't forget the part about how I rescued you from afar.)
