I was comparing specs on the 06 and 07FJR and noticed when getting to the brake specs that the front brake just says "Dual discs with 4/piston calipers" and the rear states "282mm disc CBS ABS Standard"

Does this mean that the rear brake only is ABS? Also what does the CBS stand for? Does that have something to do with the linked braking system?

Screw it...tried to embed a link to Yamaha's online parts catalog, but couldn't.

However, th '06 definitely shows a front wheel sensor housing for the ABS, just like the 04 and 05 ABS models.

Front '06 is definately ABS.

It bounces a little under really hard braking.

Haven't really ever got on the rear that hard yet.

Feels kind of like braking on rough pavement. The rear is even gentler. The nice thing is, it works and stops you *very* fast. Voice of experience--I would probably have low-sided and slid under a car if my week-old '06 hadn't had ABS. I'm now an ABS Evangelist! Hallelujah!!

I kinda new it was ABS front and rear but thought it was wierd the way the spec sheet lists it.
