it is at this point that the problem occurred. When I bought the fjr, the sensor was no longer removable from its housing. The motorcycle always rolled throughout seasons and suffered the salted roads ... I could disassemble all the other screw / axis sensors and I maintained it with silicone grease, 3 to 4 times a year. Its prevents corrosion.

Now you know the next stet if you leave this sensor corrode.

Note that after 2008, sensors are realy stronger, and have a best corrosion protection

My '06 had seized sensors by the time of my first tyre changes. Never tried too hard to free them because it's not too difficult to leave them in place. I was always careful not to strain the wire when removing/replacing the wheels.

On my '10 and my '14, when I first got them, I undid the sensors and smeared copper grease over them before replacing them. No problems since. One if the advantages of owning the vehicle from new. (Yes, I owned my '06 from new, but didn't know of this particular corrosion point.)
