I have just finished reassembling my rear tire after removing it to lube the drive shaft and the ABS light now comes on.

1) reassebled after lubing drive shaft splines, all nuts torqued and in neutral with engine off, everything seems to spin freely with no obvious dragging.

2)ABS ring mark lines up with brake fitting mark

3)FJR on stand and in neutral, no ABS light; in gear with clutch in, no light; let out clutch and at idle or modest RPM's, after a few seconds the ABS brake light flashes a few times then stays on until the ignition is turned off.

Everything has been done per Warchild's tech articles but I have apparently done something wrong. Have not had it off centerstand yet. Brakes seem to work OK on the stand but with the light I doubt that the ABS is working properly.

Any clues.

Thanks

Chester

Ahh, Chester, on the center stand the front wheel is stationary, rear wheel moving. ABS looks at the inputs and says, "Holy cow! Something ain't right here!". Take it for a ride and if you reassembled it correctly, ie. rear alignment marks in line, you should be fine.

If you still get the light then we need to dig a little deeper.

Outstanding - you have solved my non-problem. I had thought about going out and taking a gentle ride to see if it still was having problems. Now its working fine and I know why thanks to you.

Thanks again,

Chester

Search is SUCH a wonderful thing. I have no questions gentlemen. I am just gonna take mine off the center stand when I get home :p
