This device might be a good option for an accessory 10 amp fused connection direct to the battery on the FJR.

The fuel injection system fuse (15 amp) is located at the rear end of the battery next to the starter motor relay. One could remove this fuse and replace it with the above two fuse device. Reinstall the fuel injection system fuse in the lower slot and up to a 10 amp accessory fuse in the upper slot. Connect the accessory circuit via the butt splice.

This would offer a direct fused connection to the battery for a small load -- battery charger, etc. Also it keeps you away from the battery terminals.

Looks like a great find CM. I think it would be very handy to pull power off someplace other than the battery... :good: smitty

Keep in mind when using devices like this:

You're exceeding the amount of power the wire TO the fuse is made to handle. You should check the gauge of the wire running to the fuse, and estimate the length, and make sure you're still safe adding the new load.

Remember that if you exceed the limitations of the wire before the fuse, it can burn out and potentially be a fire hazard.

Slapnpop, thank you

are the lengths listed in the table in 'cm' or 'inches' or ?

I'd expect the short connection wire from the second fuse is more than adequate for 10 amps continuous. The voltage drop would be negligible for this short pigtail. If desired, the user can connect with a larger wire to minimize voltage drop in the external circuit.

Read more carefully. Has nothing to do with the pigtail after the second fuse. I'm talking about the factory wire that feeds the input of the fuse holder, before either of the fuses.
