Adding a fuel gauge and sensor

I have a friend with a 07 Kaw ZZR600.

It's a great bike, but it has no fuel gauge.

Is there a way to add one that is accurate, and not just an electronic accessory that's based on fuel use estimates?

Any info you my have would be helpful.
