I use Photoshop - however it is likely that your digital camera came with something that perhaps isn't quite as capable, but will get the job done.

In a pinch you can even use 'paint', found in the accessories section of your computer, assuming you run windows. But that's truly limited.

Bram,

Do you use an arrow graphic image or do you use a drawn object in PhotoShop?

What version?

Jeff,

You may want to look into something like PaintShop Pro, Photoshop is a pretty involved program.
Thanks, but I'm in the publishing/communications business. Have many copies and many years in PhotoShop. Was just wondering what technique most folks are using.

I definitely appreciate the PhotoChop warning. It's definitely NOT for the faint-hearted computer user.

:)

Similar to James Burleighusing Power Point, I use Word(!) for 'Call-Outs', text boxes and simple arrows. More graphic oriented work gets done in either Paint Shop Pro (PSP, my favorite for quick, easy and effective) or Photo Shop ($$$, bulky but powerful).

I run Photoshop 7 these days (I preferred version 5, mind you). I generally use the included arrows in the line tool.
