That setup is the bomb. Really. Do you smoke?

That's the way they setup motorcycles in some mid-east countries too, but they also add nails and ball bearings. BTW, the way the word on the cans is correctly spelled is MT.

I believe that that setup should have been posted in Jokes and Fun Stuff.

That's gotta get confusing, cross out the "Empty" when you fill them up and then write "Full" and when you empty it in the tank you have to cross that out and write "Empty" again and soon you run out of space and have to throw them away and start all over again.

I wouldn't worry so much about the subframe. If they are all empty then it can't be putting that much weight on it.

Err, check your subframe...

Looks OK at this point - I do see a set of GenII subframe reinforce brackets in it's future.

will we be seeing this at Alamo?
Gee, maybe. Might show up there.

However the two sitting on top of the keg will be in the hard bags during that ride. They'll be full at the start, then refilled 3 times during the ride.

IBR compliant it ain't.

What's the point here? You would have to stop to fill the tank from the cans anyway. Or I suppose if you were the sort to transport the cans full using this setup you might also be inclined to fill the tank from the cans while riding.

I gotta go w RR here. What's the point? Fuel is everywhere & you gotta stop to fill the plumbed tanks. Are you headed to Inuvik? Even there you only need 300-350 mile range. Maybe the James Bay Road?

Don't get me wrong, I have a 10gal main tank & would add a 7gal aux if I have to, but where are you going with this setup?

First, it's not my bike.

Second, this is for a ride that to be successful will be done with very limited access to fuel stations.

You'll probably read about it next week.

Anywhere that does not have fuel available is not going to have good roads, either. 200#+ I figure far aft and riding high. No bueno.
