Have you had the opertunity to run it across a scale to see what the trailer loaded up weighs? I have a bushtec trailer that when I am loaded out with all camping gear, it is about 450 pounds.

Jusst curious.

No I haven't had a chance to get it weighed. The trailer is 250# before we add anything to it. So I'm sure we must add 100#-200# of stuff. It doesn't really feel that heavy when I pick it up and move it out the campsites and the bike seems to be pulling it well.

I'm curious, your sig says Queensbury, NY (I have some friends who live there - nice place) but it looks like your plates are VT (as is your login). Do you split time between the two? BTW - the Balschunats are two of the nicest people on the planet if you ever run into them.

Great report.

How does the bike feel under the load up hill and turning, etc?
allrider it pulls very well. The FJR has plenty of torque for pulling. You really don't know the camper is there most of the time. The only time you really feel it is if the road is a little rough then the camper can give ya a little tug and let you know something is back there. But the camper doesn't bounce around alot it rides really smooth and the road has to be really rough for it to happen. Again even leaned over in a turn as long as the pavement is smooth you don't even now it is there.

Day 7&8

Ok day 7 of our vacation didn't have any pics since we just went to the beach again. Day 8 was today and we packed up camp at 6am this morning and then headed out from Saco Maine to Queensbury NY. We got home about 2pm this afternoon safe and sound.

Ok here is a little food ****. This was our last supper at the camp ground. It was awesome.

Ok here are the total miles for the week. Yeah I know it is sad only 717 miles total and we traveled thru 4 states. But this is what happens when your wife doesn't have a Iron butt yet. Oh yeah and I couldn't believe my MPG as you can see I avg 33 for the trip

Ok and this is a pic of my rear tire after just 700 miles of towing a camper. I can't believe the wear I got. It is cupped really bad now and makes alot of noise. I'm going to buy a spare wheel and mount a metzeler marathon on for towing only and see if it holds up better.
