AE type transmissions out there

I'm getting strangely aroused waiting for my AE to arrive.

 
Pretty cool actually, but on the spendy side for farkles. Maybe next year............ ;)

 
CONFUSED

I don't understand how the AE works. Let's say you are cruising at 75-mph and need to brake quickly to 30-mph... normally, you would clutch-and-brake and THEN downshift to the appropriate gear for your speed and continue.

With the AE, if you braked quickly [and didn't have time too work down to lower gears] woudn't the bike stall?
