I think that I am given just a tiny bit more "leeway" for minor speed infractions (even from motorcycle leo's) because I am AGATT. Any thoughts?

Gregory

I had not thought of that possibility. However, while geared-up, I was let off with a warning three times. One, 64 in a 45 (city cop/fellow biker), two, 67 in a 35 (county deputy), and three, 76 in a 35 (State Trooper).

Doesn't work for me.

:(

IMO, a chik on the back who looks hot and cries freely, will do a lot more good.

:)

I ride bare *** naked (check avatar if unsure) and have yet to get any attention or awards as to my speed etc. However...........

I think my gray hairs got me out of a ticket the last time. He was probably half my age and looked real serious until I took my helmet off.

Then he looked kinda embarrassed :poster_oops: and started calling me sir.

I've only had one ticket while riding, and it was on the FJR. I was in full ATGATT, but the LEO told me that "73 MPH is just WAY to fast to be going on a motorcycle." I wonder what he would have thought about the 125 I had been doing about an hour before?

Other than that, I've never been pulled over.

Check out the avatar...no ticket...but I think the gray hair may have had something to do with it also.

AGATT and a BMW K-bike with bags didn't stop a CHP on a BMW from getting me for a crappy excuse. I've been riding longer then the kid has been living. He had quite the tude.... :angry2:

I think it all depends on the cop. I don't give many breaks, but I am more inclined to give a bike a break, depending on what the infraction is. If I am out that day specifically to write tickets, anyone who gets stopped, gray hair or not is getting cited. If I am just out and about and happen to stop someone, I may give a break. I have also noticed that the people who are ATGATT are usually less likely to be doing something dumb that irritates me, and I am glad that they are taking their personal protection to heart. Most of the time I believe that if you are willing to protect yourself, you are willing to make sure your not a danger to other drivers either.

I also don't cite for things that I regularly do. If the speed limit on a road is 45 and I normally find my self doing 60, I won't cite you for going 58 because I think that's kind of chicken ****. I may stop you and ask you to slow down just for everyone's sake but no ticket until over 60 unless you cop an attitude...Then I write a novel. That's the reason I am more lenient with bikes. I normally find my self riding faster than the speed limit and take that into consideration. FYI, I have NEVER pulled over an FJR 'cuz I haven't yet seen one that needed stopped.

The people who get tickets without fail are: Anyone without proof of insurance, anyone who wants to be an ***, EVERYONE who cries, shows skin, or name drops, and most people with radar detectors. Anyone who pulls into their driveway because they think its home-base, and anyone who tries to hand me a phone to talk to their Spouse, parent, lawyer, etc. Anyone that makes me pull them over in the rain, and anyone who tells me they are not from here so they don't know the speed limit (law), and anyone who runs a red light.

Although not always, the people most likely to get breaks are those that are polite, and have all their stuff. So everyone out there be polite and safe......
