Some of us Alabama and Georgia folks had another nice ride today. I met up with Pegsparks at 0615 in Pell City, AL then we rolled to Bremen, GA to meet up with GeorgiaRoller and his wife, TwoWhldTerror, and 03HiYoSilver. The plan was to roll north, grab lunch in Chattanooga, then wander around and turn south again before splitting off for home.
We rolled north up US27 for a bit before turning off onto some two lane roads (GA100, 48, 157, and 136). We hit some nice roads through farm land as well as hitting a few twisties on our way to Lookout Mountain. Making good time, we decided to make a quick side trip into Cloudland Canyon State Park. I'd really like to go back to camp there and to hike around the rim of the canyon.

Waiting patiently...

After that stop we rode on up Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway to Lookout Mountain Flight Park. It was a bit too windy for the hang gliders to take off from the top but there were several gliders being towed by a plane up to about 2,000 feet then released. I need to come back and try this! :yahoo:

Afterward we rolled on through some more great roads then stopped for lunch at The Terminal Brewhouse in Chattanooga. Excellent food! I'm going to have to take my wife up there for lunch.
Food Porn... :dribble:
After lunch we rolled a bit further north out of Chattanooga and 03HiYoSilver split off for home shortly followed by TwoWhldTerror who was rolling on up to the Nashville area. It was great meeting you both, fellas!
The other four of us hung a left on Suck Creek Road  ... I didn't ask. We cut through a wildlife park then turned back south, rolling on some nice roads on out of Tennessee and into Alabama. Then into Georgia. Then back into Alabama. You get the idea.
Eventually we landed at Little River Canyon and stopped for some photos of a waterfall and lots of folks having a lot of fun.

Then we rode along the canyon edge to take a few photos of Little River Canyon.
GeorgiaRoller decided to jump rather than deal with us Alabama guys
Adventures ensued. I decided my beautiful 2012 Feejer was just too damn pretty. So I scrubbed it in a bit of gravel, let a couple of Harley riders help me pick it up (they needed a little gravel dust on 'em, make 'em look like they'd been doing something all day), then I moved on down the road.
OK, actually, the Harley riders were nice fellas and were at my bike almost as soon as I set it down. They didn't even give me shit about it.
Wait  Hey! Maybe they pushed me. Shit. They got there so fast... :glare:
By the way, consider this my endorsement of Extended Frame Sliders Clicky Without these I'd have had some work to do.
Notice, nothing but the slider is scuffed here
Cool Battle Scars (the side case had a couple of tiny scratches, not even enough to notice. Freaky.)
After this we rode on south a bit before we split off for home. I had a great time with some great folks and look forward to doing it again!
Oh, and the battle scars? Well, it would have happened eventually. I got off lucky.
