I went by today just to get some oil, filter, air filter...usual 8K maint stuff and they acted like it was such a problem. Everbody was busy...talkin to other employees ! Funny, I thought we paid da bills. There nice if yer interested in a bike but their attitude sux moist ass cheese as our benevolent fatitude would say. Also they gouged BOTH my rims putting my Avons on. I'll head to Kerrville next go round and I left the whole box of stuff, after they spent 30 min. getting around to it, on the counter before splitting. My advice...Do business elsewhere, They aint the only game in town. I ordered everything from Guru Glen at FJR goodies. VERY Nice Fella. Just passin it on, and its only my opinion.

Blessings on Yas!

One would hope that people would quit utilizing a place, until they either got the message and improved, or went belly up, and maybe a change in ownership would improve things. But too many people come out of the woodwork these days buying their first bike-I believe thats why there are so many sleaze joints around right now. Easy money, and **** the back end. These are the boom days for skooter sellers right now, the next downswing (if it ever occurs) would clean things up. IMHO.

Yeah Rad, These guys are a multi-line dealer, the big 4 Jap bikes...politically erect yes? :D But I wont be graceing their door anytime soon...this is the kind of place where 5 guys are right inside but just look at you as you enter...Vultures with name tags on ! Good luck with Sunny...cramps perhaps? B)

Bobby,

Sorry to hear about your bad times at Alamo Cycle. I have been dealing with them since 1976 and have had nothing but good service.....sometime great service.

Then you should tell them about this! 3 out of ten who get good service tell others, 9 out of 10 who get bad service tell others.

They probably recognize you as a friend. Just like their fellow employees. They'll take the time to talk to you. But sounds like Bobby got the dirty end of the stick.

Is that the place?

Leave a comment. Take their survey. Send them an email and tell them they have a stick up their butt that needs removed.

Also, ask them to post your survey. Or ALL surveys or no surveys.

Give 'em hell.

Yeah Rocket, I did e-mail them and we'll see what happens. Truth be told I didnt buy my Yammie from 'em so I'm not surprised I'm not in the "valued customer" club. Dave you told me you've had great relations with these folks, but you did buy from them no? Its all good...I like the ride up to Kerrville anyway :D I have let them know my feelings on both their parts counter lack of service and that their service on my bike was below expectations. As far as the survey goes, they only quote the good ones. As a matter of fact, they asked me to sign a survey about the service before the bike was done ! Used car tactic and I refused. It was my mistake not checking my wheels better...I was just awed by the Avon tread and rode out. Live and learn, I dont need another coronary so I'll just go elsewhere. Thanks for the support though guys !

There was an Alamo cycles shop that was a HD dealer years ago. About all they had was the boutique part (no bikes on the floor).

Don't take crappy treatment just because you didn't buy your bike at a shop. I got mine at D&H and the local shop's service department (Yamaha of Texas) has always treated me well. I thanked them about it one time and they mentioned that they always try to "do right" for "their bikes". Seems a couple of letters of appreciation to their shop (via their management) can go a long way toward them adopting you.

On that positive note I would like to commend the guys and gals at Cycle Gear in both Plano and San Antone. They are an accessory shop only but will go above and beyond the call to get ya what is needed/requested if they can. Nice clean cool place to hang and watch DVDs of GP, Isle of Man TT, etc. and they've got the coolest little gadgets. The internet is great for some stuff, but other stuff ya just got to handle...grease, lubricants, the cool little wing nuts on reflectors...gay but cool...So my hat is off to the folks at Cycle Gear( they have a web site too of the same name.

But your right Bounce , I wont take crappy treatment more than twice(everybody is entitled to a bad day) and they got competition and due to my heart condition if I bend over to kiss any ass, I pass out.....takes me 15 minutes to put socks on...with my sandals :D

Yes and No. The FJR is from there but the Bandit is not. I still get good to great service. And yes I do stop in and just say "hi" to the guys working.

I saw the damage to your wheel. If it was me, and they did not do me right, I would take my business else where.

BTW,

Are you going to make the next meet in Bryan for the races?

FJR Bandit

Yeah Bandit, I'm gonna give it my best shot. I'm runnin low on funds and still in the waiting process for SSI. Looks like I may only qualify for 600 a month though. I'll just keep my fingers crossed but I really want to go. Too much heat for me in July. By the way, that rubber removal thing helped cool off the tank but the hot air does get to the thighs, bike doesnt seem to run any cooler, not that its that hot anyway. Talk at ya later !
