Rick-in-(S)AK asked I post these few shots of his 1st spring ride. Commenting that the clarity of the view is just fantastic.

I believe him :)

Thanks for posting them Roger. It was a beautiful 50 degree day along the Seward Highway. Next weekend, weather permitting, I will ride to Homer and back. That is supposed to be absolutely amazing.

That is a bald eagle on the frozen lake.

Geez Rog I saw the thread and thought "what's he doing in Alaska in April", (and more importantly how did he ride there?). I left for my Alaska trip in mid May several years ago and even then, it was "touch and go" going up through the Rockies and on the Alaska Highway.

(and didn't you go to Alaska from CFR?)?

Looks gorgeous; thanks Rog. Yes, you give up something leaving Cali for Alaska (like six or eight months of riding), but you gain a lot too, don't you? Good to hear from/of you, Ric-Not-In-Sac.
