Riding with your friends should not end like this. I know of a couple of local bikers here who have significantly stretched bars on their Hog and have them leaned far forward to accentuate the cool factor. Not sure they would give you optimal control in an emergency situation. With the nerve pathways dulled by H-D Riding Fluid it apparently gets even more dangerous.

Tragic Way to Go

Yeah, I donated $100 to Bikers Against Drunk Driving here last month. And HD drivers with stupid rigs don't have a lock on idiocy, an RZ-350 will try to eat you alive if you're drunk. It was, uh, a friend that did that. Uh, yeah. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Ahem.

It's still a shame.

I went for a ride yesterday. The weather wasn't exactly beautiful and, although I didn't see many bikes on the roads, I saw many cruisers parked in front of the "watering holes." For some reason, that always amazes me. Do so few people give a second thought to alcohol consumption and riding?!!?

No helmets... I remember a time when I lived in a state that allowed helmetless riding. Thank god someone was watching over me. Never again, I would feel naked without a helmet now.
