I look at the Boss Hoss as one of those one-upsmanship bikes. I'd get a V8 Hoss for my 30th bike maybe if I was filthy stinking rich. I consider it to be worthless for just about anything I want out of a bike (leaning into twisties, touring, running on dirt and gravel backroads, commuting, etc.). Personally, I think of the Hoss as about even on the ridiculousness scale as choppers with 50 degrees of rake and two-foot high apehanger bars and of course Hummers.
Hey, there is nothing wrong with a good Hummer!!! ;)
Hum-V or Hum-J? :eek:mg:

Not speaking of the Chrysler product.. :D :D

There's a Boss Hoss in my neighborhood. Not something I'd be interested in. A two-wheeler that weighs 1,700 pounds? Yeah, right.

Hey, I'm a horsepower junkie, I admit it. My daily driver is an '03 Mustang Cobra with about 425 supercharged HP at the crank. It puts down 375 HP to the rear wheels.

But a two-wheeler powered by a Chevy V8? Not for me. That's why I rode 600 supersports, a 929 liter-bike that would effing fly, and now the FJR.

The bottom line is: If you want one, buy one. The Boss Hoss, like an FJR, is an extension of what you want to be. If you like it, will ride it and can afford it, buy it. We all have a certain "cool" factor to be fulfilled. Its about what you want, not what we think.
