Does any one know the power output of the alternator in the FJR? and, what is the margin? (leftover power capacity not used by the bike)

490 watts is the capacity. Unused portion is, I believe, around 130 watts or so.

Dude, that's like 35Amps total capacity!!! Is there an aftermarket alternator (or alternative) to increase the electrical power output? (say up to 80 Amps maybe)

No, there is not. Not yet, anyway.

I can remember the days when a 35 amp system would have been considered unbelievable. Or, on the Brit bikes, impossible, Area 51 ****. Though I do not need more amps, as I tough out the cold unlike you pretty boys with your electric jock straps and whatnot... :D , I never replace a worn component with an original if a better part is available. Some Feejers have got to be getting enough miles on them now to be needing charging components. Electrex and Ricks, I would think, would jump on the buildwagon if the demand was there. I look forward to seeing the mystery stator outed finally.

Another thread was showing FJR Police Bikes in Germany (England) with all the electrical lights, bells, and whistles. If somebody could research where all the electrical power is coming from to run that schiat. TJ

Previously I would never have considered becoming a cop.

.....now I would. A permit to use the capacity of the FJR in public? Damn sexy baby! :good:

I want the factory FARKLE that fits those lights on the front fairing under the windshield like those pictures show.

Forget those TOP GUN mounts, imagine HID's right where they are supposed to be?

AWESOME!

Well then, here's some closer shots for you. Now just go out and find someone to fab the mounts...

I see several countries models with similiar solo seat/pillion case setups. Now that I like!

Those pillon-seat-covering storage/electronics boxes are pretty slick, and look pretty uniform... wonder if they're made generically someplace, and if we could buy them?
