That bike looks like it says "pottie" patrol. The yurpeans keep a tight rein, eh?

Well then, start here...

Maybe our good buddy TeeRex speaks dutch and can get us hooked up. I'm guessing that there is an aftermarket company making these bits. I rather doubt that Yamaha is fitting this stuff. Or perhaps Joos can make some inquiries.

The standard Yamaha FJR1300 shine already from by fantastic ingot-driven and stability on àlle speeds. Moreover the powerful 1300cc engine block-system with 143.5 pk looks for more than sufficient capacity and souplesse at each toerental. FJR1300 thus it has been particularly arranged for virtually all police force aims, of step drive to pursuits on high speeds. It is a truth allrounder who combines the bests of a sport engine and toermotor.

Don't thank me; it's courtesy of Altavista.com. On a slow day, especially after a few beers, translate stuff from English to some other language and back again. It will have you rolling on the floor and holding your sides.

I'm not sure what kind of ingots they're using in Holland to drive the engine, but the part about less soup and toe rentals disturbs me. :D

Guess someone could send them a request for more information on this...

All Radio & Audible / Visual warning equipment is housed beneath a fibre glass cover.

The following is straight from the factory manual. Note that the total at the end isn't possible to achieve, you can't have headlights and starter at the same time, you (shouldn't) have both high and low beams at the same time, etc. Last time I posted these numbers I got blasted (and dissed), these numbers are straight from the FSM. The numbers are in amps, not watts. To get watts multiply the amps by 14.3 (nominal running voltage). e.g. Neutral light .093 * 14.3 = 1.3 watts

Note that the rectifier is limited to 35 amps

Hey ionbeam? Happy 99th Birthday. Dang you're one old FJR riding mofo! clapping.gif
Dang, ya know, I have to lift the coffin lid every morning. Then after a gallon of coffee I go and start up Feejer and suddenly the years melt away. Gone is maturity, good sense and social responsibility. Feejer brings out senseless youth, why just pull out of the driveway when you can wheelie out of the driveway. The entrance onto the highway becomes a dare to see how fast you can accelerate. What will you have to talk about in the locker room if you don't make experiences today. Heck, if I knew I was going to live to be 99 I would have packed away more fond memories. Regrets are for tomorrow, memories are for life.

Getting old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. :bigglasses:

The joy is in the journey. And, thanks for the happy 99th birthday. I rode home from work today in a massive thunderstorm, lightning abounded, rain pounded and trees were shredded. Damn, sure makes a fellow feel alive <g>. Best of all, it this for real, check the PM weather at 4:30 in Manchester, NH Man, makes me feel as young as 53.
