Linky to Soup. Best quote of the whole fiasco: "We've said this from day one to Roger (Edmondson) that we're not in the entertainment business like NASCAR is. We race to improve the technology and to make our production bikes better. If we can't do that, then the factory says we can't race."

Kawasaki is also pissy over the new rules. Yamaha still seems to be following the DMG party line but I haven't seen anything from them recently.

Not sure what more we need to see from Yamaha (click here)

This article leads me to believe that there is more to this than meets the eye. Perhaps Suzuki knew they weren't gonna be able to do a full-on effort and used the DMG drama as an excuse??????

I heard Kawasaki is pissed because of the move from 16.5" wheels to 17" wheels plus the fact that they won't be able to use their trick under-the-seat gas tank.

Ray Blank from Honda is just a tool. DMG provided him (about 99%) what he asked for and he wouldn't budge.

I think the best quote is 'This was a gem of a series'. You won every race but 1 in the last 3 years...of course you think it's a gem of a series. tool.

Well, perhaps he is just parroting the example being set for him.... Honda is just about the most arrogant motorcycle corporation on the planet. They have the means and know-how to build some of the most reliable motorcycles on the road today, and they could even be exciting if Honda would just allow their designers and engineers do their thang.

Instead, we get ******-up white robots, Formula 1 cars, corporate jets, and Anti-Lock Brake systems on track-oriented sportbikes....

Fortunately for them, there are still outfits like Ten Kate to turn their appliances into winning machines.... without much help from HRC.
