O, Woe is me!!
A couple of awesome rides from Ben Spies. Goofy start for Saturday's race, bumped the bike out of the box and then had a lousy start. Then had a run-through penalty for the jump start, and came back for second place. Won Sunday's race going away. That long TV shot of the pass on the back straight, his bike and Matt's shaking in unison side by side as the rear wheels lightened up over the crest, was an incredible sight.
Didn't go, so I have to wait for Tuesday to get the other series, but what a couple of races the Superbikes had!
I hate to see Turn 12 go the way it did, but with no place to put any runoff on the outside, I guess it had to happen. Too bad about the pavement patch that bit Hacking Saturday.
