Saw an ad for this event, which will be held June 1-6. Has anyone attended this in the past or are you planning on attending this year? What's the good, the bad and the ugly?

I'm only an hour south of Lake George so I go up every year. There is a lot of great riding in the Adirondacks and the crowd is pretty mature (read OLD). I've never stayed in the village for the week but I always have a good time. Lots of bikes, bars and events.

I live only about an hour away as well. If you want to have a good time and see lots of bikes it is a place to go. Completely different than Laconia. Tom

I've gone every year since it was first called Aspencade.[after the Gold Wing] Always a blast-I spend hours just looking at bikes in the parking lot. The bad- it usually rains at least once no biggie-if you have anything louder that stock the phuz are rabid.. Lots of traffic-don't be in a hurry.. have a ball[like Sheryl Crow used to say]..

I went once. There are actually several venues. There is 'the ranch' where you can get test rides on manufacturer's bikes. You need to buy a ticket that includes the ranch and you need to sign up early to ride the more popular bikes. There is also an outdoor flea market near the beach down town and an indoor flea market near the outdoor one. One ticket or pass is good for both flea market venues.

Overall, I enjoyed going but once was enough for me. I'd say that you need to be there for more than one day if you want to see everything.

There are so many riding events that I'm trying to pick and choose the very few that I can attend.
I would say that Americade is worth a trip. If you do come, I'd be happy to guide a ride or two. I love riding in the Adirondacks!

I rode up last year for a day. Continued onto NH. Was my first time at Americade.... and worth the ride up.

Lots to see and some great roads!

I've gone several times. I've found going up Wed/Thurs to be best as you can get around easily especially if you have something installed in Vendor's row. The rolling light show down main st at night is unique. You'd never be able to power up all those LEDs on an FJR...

I go every year, and I'm only 45 min. away. The ride there and back along the Great Sacandaga lake is a great ride.

I'm planning one day for demo rides, and one day for the venders. It's a great place to see farkles, and to try on riding gear.

This is our first long ''one day ride''. Honestly you have to see it once, we use this show as an excuse ^_^ to ride from Montreal to Lake George and come back. A lot of Goldwing, stuff for HD & trailer. But it s a must to see all the bikes in only a few streets. Well organize.
