For some reason, Louisiana recently decided to be honest about their road conditions and posted this shiny new sign. Guess they'd rather just be embarrassed by it than fix it...

Never seen one of those. We have a few; rough road next x miles up here. That sounds better than substandard.

 
St. Landry parish is about 20% "substandard" roads...so much for the gambling revenues fixing our road infrastructure. :angry2:

We used to live near a road that had a low point that would fill up with water any time it rained - and, this was in western Washington, so that was quite a lot of the time. The "puddle" would be 6-8" deep and 10-12' across. When I complained to the road dept, their answer was to... install a permanent "Water Over Roadway" sign! :angry2:

At least they're honest about it. I think KY's Road Authority has an "Ignorance is Bliss" policy.
