Old Michael,
Not long ago I did a ride report of my trip through the Highway 50 corridor. As you know, one of my pics got singled out
as especially evocative. Well, it was evocative to some. To one particular critic it was, and I believe I quote, "a feckin' tree and rock".
Always looking for ways to improve myself, well maybe just my photography, I took your criticism to heart.
I decided that I would try to become the best f'n tree and rock photographer on the planet.
No small feat I'm sure you'll agree. On that note I present the following.
Please feel free to critique away.
Like I need to send an invitation.
A very nice specimen to start with.
Similar, yet equally dramatic. I hope you agree.
Okay, maybe not technically a "tree" and a rock, but you have to admit, a mighty fine rock, eh?
Well, it was once a tree, right?
Okay, again not really a tree, but still a bit wooden if you ask me.
Speaking of wooden...OMG
I know this also isn't technically a tree or a rock but it does lend credence to the theory that dinosaurs once roamed this area.
And last but not least, are you kidding, I've got hundreds of these, here's another example of the genre. Not technically a tree, but Utah was a little devoid of actual trees.
Just use a little imagination.
Well, OM, thanks for looking. I look forward to your impending criticism with or without your usual witty insight.
As I stated before, with your help I intend to become the world's greatest feckin' tree and rock photographer.
Finally, I have a reason to go on.
