I was advised not bring my winter gear or the ants would eat my CANDY a$$. And Kerseene on the socks doesn't sound do-able with the fuel shortage....so......

I'm still planning on wearing my mesh gear and bring a hoodie for the cool mornings. 50 degrees on an FJR (1st gen w/ heater) ain't all that cold. I will be packing the spring / fall 3/4 length jacket just in case...

True that! My '04's been a might toasty this summer and I'd be happy as a pig in poop if it never got out of the 50's. I'm one of the rookies so just look for one of the guys with the "deer in the headlights" look.
