Just to spice it up a little. I talked to Gary at Mondak Motorsports today and it looks like we are going to have great swag to give away.

Let's just say whoever attends the CFO will have a great chance at some stuff we will all wish we would have won.

Sorry no hints right now......

Cruzin....

If that Intruder is so great why did you get an FJR?????

Enough said......

right????

Dana

I didn't have time to make anything for CFR, but for CFO I could offer a set of black anodized PAIR cover plates, a steering nut nut tool, or a couple of other leftover creations from my tool box.

The Rally Rallye had a burst of entrants when registration opened but things are fizzeling fast. If I don't get 10 people, that would 3 more, signed up by 9/9/09 I'll have to pull the plug. I hoping that all the buzz about the Iron Butt Rally will get some of you signed up https://rallyrallye.wufoo.com/forms/rally-rallye-registration

I was at a small rally for rally noobs put on by the local Victory club they had 25 entries and we have 7  I'm just say'n .

Do we have a Rally, Rick. One Day left to sign up by my watch.

Come on peeps, Ya know Ya want to. :clapping:

If anyone is on the fense, how about I volunteer to give you some pointers and set you in the right direction or potentially ride the rally along with you. I'd really like to see a few more people enjoy these types of events as much as I do. I had a good friend ofter to bring me to my first rally and follow along to see how he does it a couple years ago. I'm glad I did as I would have never done one of these things if not for that. You don't need a GPS to do these either. I routinly get waxed buy several riders that do not even own a GPS.

Most of the rallys I've done I ride along with 2 other riders anyway so It would not be much of a change for me. Send me a PM if you are up for it. Rick put a lot of work into scouting and I was not looking forward to riding the routes Gramps and I put together anyway (I've already done them!).

Not to discourage any one from entering, but it might be worth an extra $20, if that's what it takes, just for the entertainment. You know the bench racing after the fact, the coulda, woulda, shouldas, make some great stories.

Stories like this one from this past weekends GLMC Buffalo Run...

I was low on gas and time, I was in SD and needed to get into MN. The route I took ended up at a detour (a bridge from SD to MN was out, but the detour was too far for me to make it, so I went through the detour to see if it was passable... nope the bridge was rebar from one end to the other. I pulled up the map and saw another bridge just to the north. I hopped on 5 miles of gravel to that bridge, same thing. I look at the river bed and I see dust. There is no water in the riverbed and a guy is coming across it on a 4 wheeler. I flag him down and ask him the quickest way to MN. He tells me to cross the dry river bed like he just did. I look and it was all loose dirt down a 20% grade, but the river bed looked doable besides that. So I look at him and say, OK, I'm going for it, but can you watch me in case I bite it and need some help. He says sure thing. I go for it... made it half way down and the front tire falls in a soft spot. Only way to get out is give it the gas, so I did and it pops out and the back falls in, I'm pretty sure I was hung up but I gave it some throttle and pushed with my feet and the back popped out. I cruise down the riverbed and it is nice and hard with some ruts from the equipement that I followed though. get to the other bank and it is pearock the whole way up. I put my feet down and hammer the thottle. To my surprise I've made it across and am back on tar. I look back at the guy on the 4 wheeler, give him the thumbs up and I'm back in buisness. I thought about turning on the video camera for the adventure, but then thought, nah, I didn'twant to have a reminder of how I dropped my bike. I know if I would have turned it on I'd be telling the story of how I did drop by bike (again).

Oh, and I won't pull anything like that if someone wants to ride with me (unless they want to try first, of course).

I would be willing to add some more change to get this to work. Well, within reason that is. :D

The money isn't the issue it's just the need to have a reasonable field of competitors. Thanks for the offer tho.

What!!! You mean that throwing money at a problem won't fix it? Sure hope we make the number.

Sorry I couldn't resist :yahoo:

You know, that road doesn't look nearly as bad in the photo as I remember it. Why did we turn around?

Yeah I give procrastinators a bad name... I signed up, I knew this was going on just didn't realize 9-9-09 was the cut off. Hopefully this is still on??
