Were you searching for red-light runners as you entered the intersection? If so, was there anything else you think you could have done (or could do differently in the future) to avoid a collision? Inquiring minds want to know!Yes, I'm always trying to anticipate someone running the light. We were only going to cross the intersection and stop for coffee. The west bound Ventura Blvd., has two left turn lanes to go up into Topanga canyon, then two lanes traveling straight through and another right turn lane. The cage came from behind three lanes of cars (that had stopped for the light) and just appeared in front of me. The ABS system on these machines is incredible, and will normally bring the bike to a stop toot-sweet, there just wasn't room. In fact, I'm glad the ABS took as much off the impact as it did! My old V65 Sabre would have locked up and slid, probably picking up speed, so big kudos for ABS .
