OTD Sports is out of business at the end of today, August 31, 2010. I believe that's the last dealership in Auburn. They moved into the new building a couple years ago, and carried the big 4. I stopped in today to pick up some oil and brake fluid, only to find the place nearly empty and a sign on the door saying this was their last day in business.

This economy sucks!

Yes, it does. We lost Kolbe (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki), near me, a couple years ago. Not a great dealership, but not too bad all in all and I knew the service manager very well - which often helped. Best of luck finding new sources for the stuff you need on short notice.

To be clear, for Yamaha stuff, I'm blessed to have one of the best dealers ever, Roseville Yamaha, just 15 miles away, and that's the only place I'll go for service, Yamaha bike sales or anything important on the FJR. But for parts for the XX or KLR, or for supplies I discover I need when I don't have the time, OTD was great.

BTW, I remember Kolbe from the 60s and early 70s when I used to live in Chatsworth and Woodland Hills. Sad to see a true veteran dealership fold.
