I ran a little experiment last night. Figuring that they are all sport-tourers, and to the uneducated all sport-tourers look alike, I printed pictures of seven possible motorcycles and asked my wife to pick which one she liked best. The bikes were the Sprint ST, the Norge, the ST1300, the Concours 14, the K1200GT, the F800ST, and the FJR. After about two minutes my wife selected our next bike. Yep, the FJR. "There's just something about the lines. It looks right to me."

So this morning I called GEICO and found out that all 7 bikes would be identical in cost to insure.

We are one step closer to buying a new FJR in September.

Smart move! If the wife likes it, it makes everything all good. Why wait? get one now and you will see it's not just the lines. You will love the FJR

My wife also chose the FJR. Currently, she doesn't ride on motorcycles, anymore.

Oh, well.

Any good wife is like a bike - regular service does wonders!

I didn't ride for 10 years - sold my last one two years before the twins were born) - but it was the honey that suggested I stop bitching and wishing - and just buy the damn thing!

BLESS HER! I chose the FJR over the ST1300 (on advice of this AWESOME forum) - and though I only have just under 1,100 miles on it (in 3 weeks) - let me just say - it's really a terrific bike.

I hope you guys decide to "pull the trigger" in September!
