Was so looking forward to a 2-up weekend of riding and fun. I got sick prior to the group ride from West PalmBeach to Cedar Key, so my wife and I Left out late Friday night.

We rode to Ocala and stayed overnight there. Took off early morning to attend the breakfast in Cedar Key. When we arrived, there was only one other couple there. I then received

the news:

I post this here because many LD riders know Kevin. He competed in the 07 and 09 IBR(s) and rode a Triumph Trophy. He is a wonderful person and I wish him a speedy recovery.

My prayers are with he and his wife.

Man that's rough. For all the miles we put on our bikes, there's just no way to anticipate all the time what others on the road are going to do. Absolutely senselss!

Very glad to read that they are relatively OK. Hoping and praying for a speedy physical and emotional recovery.

I don't know the man but I feel your pain. I sincerely hope that your friend and his wife have a good recovery.

I wish nothing but misery and pain upon the cager whose impatience led to this.

Healing thoughts and energy being sent their way. While I know they have a long road ahead of them, they are both here to travel it. It is amazing what the human body and psyche can recover from.

Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Rant - The cager was such a jerk. Time for the cager to do real time in prison! Real pissed at this crap these cagers pull!

Rant over. Heal well and peace to you two.

Our prayers to Kevin and Deborah for a speedy recovery. Thank goodness they are still with us.

Let us hope the driver is held accountable.

On the return ride today, My wife and I passed another wreck involving at least one biker. The scene was a mess with like 20+ bikes pulled over, rescue crews...

I had an anger prior to that, but that fueled it more. I thought of their daughter (Who was on the cycle directly behind them) and it just made my feelings worse.

Road rage... hell I wanted to take it out on every driver I saw Texting or driving like an idiot.

Terrible news. This knock the wind out of me Sunday when I received an email from one of the riders. They are such a wonderful outgoing couple. Several years ago, I got on his email list for rides, mostly to restaurants and always had an enjoyable time when I attended. At least once a month we received info about rides he was setting up.
