For those of you looking for a destination to ride to in the northeast, might I recommend the Owl's Head Transportation Museum (clicky) in Owl's Head Maine (near Rockland). For a small museum, they have a great collection of motorcycles, cars and airplanes. They pride themselves on the fact that most of, if not all, are operational. You can get rides in a Model T Ford, and even some of the antique aircraft.

For the motorcycling enthusiasts, :yahoo: try to plan your trip in the late summer when they have their annual antique motorcycle show. For the second year now, I have entered my '86 FJ1200, and I was joined by CharlieHoss and his '73(?) RD200. There were about 900 more motorcycles on display of all ages and types. The weather was terrific, and I let my 7 yr. old son, Max run the camera for most of the day. He did a great job for a little guy. If you are interested, you can check out a slide show of the better pictures here: clicky

Here is a shot of my entry in the show:

Looks clean! In 1986, the dealer was sold out of them but he did have Honda's VF1100S, commonly referred to as the V65 Sabre. So I went with Honda. Rode two of them for years. Never as well known as it's sibling, the Magna, though. Claimed 121hp back then I think. Took a lot longer to hit 145 with it then the current ride!

Always liked that original FJ design, for sure.

:dribble: Aw, dope-slap me. I doubled up on the https://. Try this: clicky

BTW - Thanks Sullivan. It is pretty clean, although I admit to not being a fuss budget about detail appearances. I'd rather ride it than polish it.
