Any 2006 Tickers??

I looked around, but didn't see any posts regarding 2006 tickers. Are there any or at this point does it appear the 2006+ will be tick-free?

Looking at a 2007 but don't want the hassle my 2004 just put me through (7 1/2 weeks in the shop and a nifty initial fight before Yamaha finally took over and ordered the repair).

It's a subject that comes up regularly...although it's been a month or two.

No have heard of no confirmed 2006 tickers....and have been paying careful attention to forum traffic.

There were a couple of reports on the forum, but upon further questioning the reporting person was either premature or wrong in their diagnosis and/or they went away and never reported back.

Personally, I think if there was a ticker....or an unresolved tick problem in '06 it would have manifested itself by now.

Keep those fingers crossed.

22,000 on my 06 and no problems. Jan/Feb will be taking her in for the first valve check.

I don't have an '06, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night and it didn't tick.

...let's see....only a few thousand more bikes to check in

Thanks. I try to keep a watch for this kind of thing but haven't checked in lately (my FJR hasn't been giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling while at the shop).

Not sure what I'm going to do, but want to have a plan in case the "new fix" for my bike doesn't work out.

After all this time that this issue has been a burr in the ass of Yamaha and us, if any '06 problem cases show up, watch for a mass defection to the Connie 14.
