I've had Dish for years. It works well and I am happy with it. I had Direct before I got Dish, they are both good. Go with the best deal, you'll be happy.
Fine. I knew it was line when you told me you cared.Oh, Your into the gay channels? BTW, I can't room with you at EOM!!!Yes, I have advice on buying Direct TV...Buy Dish Network instead.
272 Logo, dude. For Willy's viewing pleasure tonight at 8, "Exes and Ohs," followed by "Bad Girls" and "The L Word"I don't believe Direct TV has any "gay" channel access so, you may be a bit disappointed.
Hey I've been nice to ya for too long willy.

Your scaring me the way you can list all of those shows off the top of your head! :lol:272 Logo, dude. For Willy's viewing pleasure tonight at 8, "Exes and Ohs," followed by "Bad Girls" and "The L Word"I don't believe Direct TV has any "gay" channel access so, you may be a bit disappointed.

As my grandmother used to say, "I don't wanna miss my shows."Your scaring me the way you can list all of those shows off the top of your head!
There's lots of leaning... and lots of turning.... but usually not together."The L Word" is that the one where they give you pointers on Lean Angle while going through a turn?
Check out the packages. I get local stations thru my DirecTV, but I do have to pay a couple $$ more for it.My only gripe with DirecTv is that I don't get any "local" channels. Maybe I'm just some young dork, but I like seeing the local news every once in awhile, but our local NBC affiliate won't allow a signal to DirecTv, so no NBC. Other than that, I like them a good deal. Got the HD package with all the movie channels and crap. They work for me.
The receiver they sent me gratis was new, worked fine, & have had no problems with it since I received it-probably over two years ago now perhaps even three years.Be prepared to get reconditioned junk for equipment.
I'm happy for everyone that got new equipment; I'm just telling you I didn't. The last time the service fools were here, to replace the bad HD DVR that had initially sent me, they brought in an open box, after telling me that they would be bringing in a new one. The guy said it was new, and I told him to look me in the eye and tell me that. He looked me in the eye(s) and said, "You're a smart guy, you figure it out. I am telling you what they told me to tell you."The receiver they sent me gratis was new, worked fine, & have had no problems with it since I received it-probably over two years ago now perhaps even three years.Be prepared to get reconditioned junk for equipment.
hotrod,We have Dish Network and my inlaws have Direct TV. I gotta say I like Dish better. There is not as much delay time in the way the remote works. We are able to take the channels we don't subscribe to off our list, so when we hit the program guide, all that shows is all that's available.
I was thinking the afternoon games on Fox/ABC But that's good to know..."House, M.D." is the only "network" show I watch somewhat regularly. We do. Network feeds for east and west usually. Miss something as it passes the first time, switch west and get it 2 hours later.
As of right now, only Heroes and Smallville get DVRd off mainstream networks.
Actually it's the other way around (see post # 28)If it has not been mentioned the only difference that I know f is in th ownership of the equipment
Dish equipment you own and if it breaks you have to pay for repairs.
Direct you are renting the equipment month to month and direct takes care if something goes wrong
Quality is even
