Hi All,

Need seals on a Wilber shock. I'm fortunate to have a number of good suspension shops in the

bay area that I've had experience with. I'd like to ask if anyone has had a first-hand experience

with Ted Porter's Beemershop.com in Scotts Valley? It appears that they're the West Coast

Wilber's distributor. But service is alot different than selling ....

If anyone has a first-hand experience feel free to drop me a note. st4gary at hotmail dot com.

Thanks!

Gary

Gary - I had Phil at Aftershocks rebuild my Wilbers last summer.

Clicky HERE for Aftershocks

I was very satisfied with the results. Phil is a hell of nice guy, knows his shit, and really takes the time to explain things. He then helped me dial in my entire suspension. Wow. What a difference that made. Anyways, that was about 46,000 miles ago and no problems.

Also, he is located in your neck of the woods. Heck of lot more convienant for you than I.

Skooter,

Thanks for the reply. Phil worked on my ZRX1200R a few years back. He was very helpfull and did do good work.

He's a prolific talker, so if you have the time you should walk away having learned something about suspension :)

In the past couple of years Rob/Jane at Evolution Suspension has installed 3 GP Suspension fork kits for me (FJR,

ZRX1200R, and '05 R1). His work has been top notch and also includes setup. I've also used Dave Moss (crstuning.com)

for setup help when at the track. As I said, I'm fortunate to have a number of local and reputable suspension shops

in the area.

I have since found out that Ted Porter stocks the necessary Wilber parts so I'll be heading over there on Saturday to

pick up the seals and a few other odds-n-ends to deliver to Evolution along with my shock. The only problem with

Evolution that this time of year Rob's slammed and it'll take a couple of weeks to get the shock rebuilt. He's

changing the fluid and replacing a leaking fork seal for the FJR today. Looks I'll be commuting on the DR650 for the next

couple of weeks.

Regards,

Gary
