In the process of installing new drivers 'n shit in my new mega gamer. Details and pics to follow. Oh, and ahhhhh, video cards have gone up :dribble:
****! your impatient Rad!Well, I see no one much gives a shit, so I'll let it die now.......
Now there's some wonderful childhood memories for me.....(late 20's for TWN) :yahoo:Well, ****! What ever happened to slot cars and Lionel trains?
Ahh, so we do have something in common. I'm also a flight simmer, and built this specifically for FSX. Thursday night, my trusty ASUS A7N8x-Delux puked, Northbridge as far as I can determine, no POST. A local SuperGeek confirmed. Soooo, somehow caught the wife in a good mood, and did a little, ummmm, upgrade..****! your impatient Rad!
Just got here and now you bugged out??? Yes I am into some of it mainly Flight Sim X (Been using the other progs for years) and at the moment I like the Splinter Cell series the latest being Double Agent....just finished (well sort of) building my rig but money is tight right now, shit time of the year for our household with Xmas and all the big bills at the start of the year, and computer thingies are so fucking expensive these days and i get them wholesale!
So I have….
4200+ M2 CPU AMD O/C
Silverstone Zues 750 PSW
ASUS Crosshair Mobo
ATI 1900 Crossfire card which I might upgrade (only had the bastard a few months)
1 Gig Corsair 667 DDR2 Ram... Need more RAMMMM! (8 gigs would be nice)
And a bout 1 terabyte of HHD space, 2x sata and 1 x external rack
Antec Tower which not bad
And you?
ASUS or AMD? All my ATI drivers of late were coming from AMD.Rad,That is one hell of a setup!!! I read that the Asus board you had and have is one of the best. Also, recently, Asus has bought ATI.
Personally, I like my A7N8X Deluxe and the NVidia video board...they are great.
Good gaming and good fun to ya!
This system is quiet as a mouse compared to my old one. I have a total of 5 case fans, including a blow hole, all on a speed controller. The cpu uses less voltage, so I don't need the Honda 50 cylinder head cooler I needed with my clocked XP, the source of most of my noise. Water cooling, while neat, is fraught with terror. I mean, it IS water ya know......I'm a big-time video gamer. But the last time I updated my home PC was for Max Payne, made my old system crawl. Oops, I forgot the X1300 Pro card I popped in to help display larger Lightwave models. I really try to avoid PC games and stick to PS2, XBox 360, and now PS3 games. The issue is the latest patches for games and Direct X and what-not were always messing up my PC and making me crazy. I need my PC functional more often.
Nice-looking system. Antec 650 p/s! Wowsers, I'm making due with one of their TruePower 430's. I want my next PC to be quieter so I'm thinking about water cooling, 150 mm fans, and a damped case.
Rad,I did a lot of hosting back when I was into IL2. Quit cuz of all the asshole kids that would teamkill and crap, kinda got away from online gaming as a result. Broadband with a fat signal is the only way to go. Some poor kids, blow them out of the sky and it was a minute before they found out they were meat....
