Does anybody know if there is a high output alternator on the market?
I've got heated grips and a heated seat for wintertime riding and I don't want to be stranded on the side of the road or have my range limited by my nightly trickle charge.
I found an older thread about European police bikes, but couldn't find any resolution about whether or not a HO alternator is available.
(My grips heat up more when I run the engine at higher rpm, so the stock unit seems pretty marginal.)
Oops -- I can't figure out how to edit the subject line. That should be H-O alternator, not Ho alternator. I already have a Ho alternator. I'm trying to upgrade it.
