I originally offered this to the NAFO group, But i was not able to make it happen...

So the offer is extended to the EOM crowd now!

Is there any interest in partaking is the pleasure of a fine 16 year old?

SCOTCH!!!! that is! :drinks:

Lets hear it!

This stuff is not for the faint of heart (love the PUN), It's 112 proof, Cask Strength Mannochmore Straight from Scottland, Ya know! It is bottle number 262 of 289. :nyam:

If there's enough interest, I will pack it!

:friends:

THIS is as close to the bottle that i can find online, But mine is 16 years old... :)

You are considering sharing a fine scotch with the EOM crowd? Have you met the EOM crowd? I'm jus' sayin'. "Scotch" to these people is the tape they use to wrap birthday presents.

The moon shine seemed to disappear pretty quickly last year.......

(it was actually pretty good.....so I heard  )

Dats sum funnay sheet rot thar!

**** Adam, yer on! I might be tempted into making the trip jus fer that.

My usual brand is MacAllans and at the price of most of that swill I haven't been tempted to experiment much.

If I can get away I'll bring along a jug 'o' that.

I hear ya there!!!

I acquired this bottle at a Single malt Whiskey Tasting Seminar in May, And i can honestly say, That i am NO EXPERT when it comes to Scotch.

They had 8 different varieties from the different areas of Scottland, And some were just plain nasty, IMO.

I bought this monster and a bottle of Glen Ord 8 year. The Ord is probably my favorite, probably since it's still fresh in the memory banks... I opened it up 2 weeks ago and was in heaven!

I told myself that i would reserve the Mannochmore for a special occasion, And i feel my FJR bretheren are special enough!

I remember Tim (TWilkins)brought a bottle to SFO-2006, And that baby was brutal! It was very much an islay Scotch, Which is full of peat and salt due to the region

here is a link to the different styles of Scotch Clicky

If you can't find anyone that can appreciate a good bottle of single malt just keep on going north. There are several of us here in Yankee land that know how to enjoy the good stuff :drinks: The way to become an expert is to train and expose yourself(!) ---- to all manor of well crafted scotch :alcoholic:

Thanks for the link Adam....

Oh, and Alan? Thanks for the 'not so great advice. I went and exposed myself to the neighbor lady, as you so subtly suggested............ I hear police sirens approaching..

See y'all in a few years.

How about you start heading south, And i will let you have the first taste!

Deal?

Don't know about ion, but. I'm not going to "sign up" as I can't make plans that far ahead.. work just doesn't allow that.

However if all the past FO's are any indication, there should be a few rooms open up in the days proceeding the event. I'll snatch one up and surprise my way in. :yahoo:

I will have glass in my hand! Last year I drank it by myself. In Boone 06 a few of the ladies were the only takers.

I also bring a pretty good stock of cigars.

Well all right!

Now were makin' progress!

I quit smoking cigarettes last year, But i think i can make time for a good smoke! :)

A good cigar and a gin -- sounds like a winner to me.

Wait... this is in WV. I meant a chaw of Copenhagen and a PBR. :)

Ok, I'm a true yankee living now in the south. I never have developed a taste for the good stuff, but I would never insult a fellow FJR rider and refuse to take a yank of single malt :D .

I love Whiskey. Any Whiskey. Living within an hour of 20+ Bourbon Distilleries has its advantages (Single Barrel Four Roses is outstanding). Niether Mrs. Jager or I qualify as Scotch Conessuires, but both enjoy a challenge :D

Of course.......................

Without a doubt..................

There will be....................
